God is not deaf, neither is He on holiday. Sometimes we wait upon the Lord and we do not see him coming through at the time we want him to. We had plans and thought that God had ordained them, only for them to collapse. I want to share the following steps to help us stay positive when all appears to be falling apart.

1. Facts – The reality of the matter. Face the situation, see it with your human eyes and do not try to mislead the Lord that all is well. What is the reality on the ground? What are your human eyes seeing? what is your human perception of the issue? Do not pretend before the Lord and do not lie to yourself. If you ignore the facts, they will kill you softly and sweetly.

2. Stories – This is the PR stage of our issues, the things we tell others about our situations or the things we tell ourselves to feel better. The PR stage is dangerous because it may make you live in utopia, because PR stories absent of facts create a comfortable place of escapism and keep us from getting the help we need.

3. Truth -This is simply what God says about the situation. What does the word of God say about the situation? The Truth is what liberates you.

Do not bypass step one and two and focus solely on step three. You are more inclined to receive the truth once you have confronted the issue for what it really is, accept its true magnitude and only then, stand on the Word of God in awareness of His might and faithfulness in bringing His promise to pass despite the impossibility before our human eyes.
