The following traditions will help you build better marriages:

  1. Praying together and trusting God. Personal prayer is good, but praying together makes use of the power of agreement! When crisis falls into the marriage praying together helps you stick together.
  2. Resolve negative feelings daily. Ephesians 4:26-27. A good marriage is not made by people who never get angry but by people who resolve negative emotions early. Having a habit of resolving issues before the sun goes down. A good tradition is processing negative feelings quickly. Partners need to speak their mind sincerely and respectfully, but do not criticize.
  3. Have fun together and be best friends. If you eliminate sex and fun from marriage what you have left is a lifeless contract. Date nights are important, use them for fun and let them remind you how to pursue each other and enjoy each other’s company.
  4. Build a healthy marriage network. 1 Cor 15:33- Bad company corrupts good morals. What company of married people surround you? The quality of your life is determined by what you see, by what you tolerate.
