JOHN 5:6 we get the man at the pool of Bethesda he attempted to get into the pool 38 times, that when Jesus came he did not recognize the opportunity because he was consumed by the waiting…We are all waiting for something. They are things that we have prayed about for a long time… Maybe you have waited for something, a job, a child, a spouse, healing there is just something out there that you have been waiting for and you have reached a place that after a while it has taken a toll on you. You believed trusted did all you could but nothing has come yet. Genesis Chapter 8:22 seed time and Harvest shall always remain. Everything we give is a seed if you put time into prayer that is a Seed. Words you speak are a Seed, job application is a Seed, your studies are a seed the time and things you do in your marriage are also a Seed. We do not fail in the planting nor in the harvest we fail the test of time. Abraham failed the test of time by choosing to lay with Hagar Genesis 16:12. Israel got tired of waiting and a murmuring spirit was born, it is in the waiting that the the seed we planting either grows or dies. waiting should not postpone life, it is the fuel that breeds hope. When you quit enjoying your present at the expense of your waiting you interfere with your capacity for the harvest. Galatians 6:9. “Let’s not get tired of doing what is good, for at the right time we will reap a harvest—if we do not give up.”
Waiting is not absence of activity. Waiting is not delay but it is a preparation.
Recognize what is present Ruth 1:16. What is too familiar becomes hidden. What you constantly see you stop seeing…
Begin to act like the future you see. Genesis 39. We always act contrary to the thing we are waiting for. You do not get to be queen but acting like a pauper. The cost of your future is preparation.
Do not stop learning… Somethings that we are waiting for, we are ill equipped to receive them. Let the time you spend waiting be a time of understanding yourself, and a time to grow yourself that when your answer comes you will not destroy the thing you have prayed for so long. Remember While I wait I am becoming.
Remember problems are opportunities for significance. And most importantly, waiting is an opportunity to grow. If you do not grow while you wait then you begin to lose relevance to those around you, you become stale and boring as a husband wife mother father priest or nun. And you birth weird insecurities then you begin to fight those who perform and bad mouthing those whose life’s are working because you did not seize your opportunity to grow. Waiting breeds anticipation and anticipation is the environment for growth. When you grow you become fresh. What you do while you wait determines your level of wisdom and wisdom determines your level of success.
